I don't thing that Dave makes a complete ass out of himself and neither do I hope that the Contra-Rounder folks think that I make an ass out of myself either!

This issue is not about who has the better and stronger arguments and can shut down the other side and therefore 'wins'. I still think that I might face one day the possibiliy to find out that the Rounder is post-45. But so far, I'm nor there, I still think those are pre-45. But the real facts are missing on both sides.

Just look at what we found out in the last years! Anything conclusive out of that? No. But nevertheless very interesting! And everybody can draw own conclusions out of the findings so far. Nobody needs to buy a Rounder, I certainly will not sell mine either.

Could an unknown supplier have supplied crosses to other companies? Sure, why not. But it's just another 'working theory', nothing else. It has happened on the field of EK1 and EK2, maybe even with badges.

Granted, with an RK it is a little more touchy to think like that.

Anyhow, there should be no personal attacks over this subject. It's not worth it! It's just a past time and an interesting subject for study. Nothing more!

Dave's OK. He just stretches the slightest of information as the proof positive he's looking for. And why not? That's where he believes it's ultimately headed.

But we should now reconsider the existence of JMME and IMME badges as they were made from parts supplied by Juncker.

Lots of items made by other manufacturers and parts supplied or entire finished items supplied to other manufacturers to finish their own production or entirely made pieces sold by another company and stamped with latter company's maker mark.

I don't think the existence of an oaks to embellish any cross real or fake has any impact on the veracity of the cross. So many fakes of oaks and oaks swords that most of what I saw at gun shows always seemed to carry oaks and oaks swords. Embellished the price a couple hundred dollars to a community that hadn't a clue what was what in the 70's and 80's.

As hard as this will be to believe I'm not participating in any more of these discussions. It's just gotten to the point where we're rehashing the same old pimple over and over again. And the more you jab and stab it the uglier it gets. I don't think any of us want to end up there but the sides continually get so far apart that's where it always goes.

For me until proof positive emerges the issue is

I think Roy's RK isn't a 7 but an upside down 2. Ed Anderson once told me he saw these RK's with the 2 at all different angles over the years, and this sure looks like an upside down 2. I have an EK1 marked 7 and it doesn't look like this.

one I have, it has much worse beading than rounder.
