Wow, an instant collection, and of what a great quality!!!
I also own an identical S&L para badge of this kind, part of a grouping.Unfortunately it has been denazified.
The owner became a Fallschirmschuetze very late on the war, on 2nd August 1944 (at least this is the date of the Urkunde) so if the grouping is not a put togheter and are original to the veteran, this would confirm that it's a late war badge. But it's also possible that the man bought one after the war to replace the one lost during the war...
IMHO these badges are wartime; some were sold or awarded before the end of the war but large leftover stocks were sold postwar. It's also possible that the same ones were produced in the same way before and after the end of the war. In this case it would be impossible to state if an item was made in January or in June 1945!

When I buy groups I don't add or subtract items to embellish the story, I don't have the time for this.
I advertise heavily and consistently buy items straight from estates or families.
I'm going to post pictures of items I've purchased straight out of the "wood work" just last month, not to brag or boast but to give you an idea that adding a couple of controversial Para badges isn't something I need to do, couldn't care less if I ever sell them.
