Yes there are many stages in die production .... and today dies last a lot longer .
Now this production chart is for EK die production - as described by Carl Wild and I would think a KvK dies would have been made no differently .
The KvK positive/male die is the die that has the 'taper' built into it ... which his die does not have .
To me the taper should be already transferred from the design master which makes that one to thin ?
