I would expect at least some dirt on the bands and not as they came right out of dry cleaning. On other hand the medals are oxidated differently (See EK2 and Austrian medal). They sure dont look like were there togeher for last 70+ years

I have seen some ribbonbars with 2X bands for KVK so i guess swords and no swords might be possible.

Not saying such a combination is impossible. I have just never seen a comparable award doc group, or any pass book entries of those two particular KvK's to military personnel over many years of collecting both.

Well my point is the KVK was an order with a military and non-military branches not a medal with one for battle deeds and one for war-releated deeds.

Would be like getting the OBE twice for civil and military.

I know there was a rule that once you got the IC you could not get the KVK but you could do it the other way round.

Was there such a rule that if you got the KVK wo swords you could then earn it with??

That would be very odd it it was so.
