Very nice! Must be quite rare with the KVK mit und ohne Schwerter!?

Was getting the both the KVKII with and without swords even allowed officially?

Any bar with both ICII and KVK with swords award I am always leery of. The award of both was sort of against the regulation.

That being said it was a large war things happened

I'm at 51/49% that the back side might reveal a new time construction

Would be curious to know where this sort-of-rule originated from.

Well, I think he got the KVK without Swords as a police man and later in the war her got the KVK with swords. So he put it all on and maybe never had this on his uniform.

As a doc collector of many years I have never seen a KVK combination like that before. At least not military. Would not rule out possibility of it being a post war put together.

                            Hi Edward,
well I dont know if the soldier did that or not. Came from the family and I bought that to sell it. I never touched it.
So I think we will never know for sure.
                            Regards

The Third Reich managed to portrait itself like a very orderly and well organized system, but the truth is it wasn't. I've seen totally legit medalbars which didn't follow regulations. The medalbar in question IMO is possible due to the already mentioned ordinary policeman -> KVK without swords and later on as combattant EK2 and in between KVK 2 with swords.

The alignment of the bottom of the medals and the reverse rosettes sewing looks sub standard. but if it came directly from the family it is maybe just me.
