The happier I am now that I had the chance to look at Gewitter's cross and it is indeed a perfectly genuine Klein German Cross in Silver.
Thanks again for sending it to me!
Speaking for myself, the Knight´s Cross book first! Guess you have got much more information during the years, that have passed since it was published?!
Pleeeeeease!

It is true that I have a lot more material for the Knights Cross and also the German Cross, mainly in the area of the Präsidialkanzlei. Something to round out the picture.
I also have more "fringe" information regarding the L/12 oakleaves, the Zimmermann connection, other minor things.
Of course I have a lot more data and photos!
The main thing is this: there is really not much in substance to add to the RK book. The only "correction" would be to go from "maybe" for the 935-4 and 800-4 to "proven wartime." Everything else is still correct, apart from refinement.
Same with the DK book. Maybe soem variations in pins for the Deschler and more photos and data.
But I am seriously thinking about it. Not a new print, but rather a Vol. II with more info, data, groups, ....

Feels like a controversial subject

Here are my two DKIS's, both identical in weight, both identical size, both with the LHS die flaw, both have identical rear pin and catch hardware, both with same date details on the wreaths. However -one backplate is marked 20 for Zimmerman, one backplate is marked 134 in incuse relief for Klein and has rivet and enamel differences.
