    Ek1 Question.

    What could this be?
The hinge is positioned very high!
    Its magnetic.
    Hand vaulted.
Does anyone know who the manufacturer might be? Or you it is a fake?

    /Henrik

        I agree with Douglas.

And I'd love to see the EK1 doc in the background!

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

Seeing the date on the document now .... I cannot see both pieces being issued together .
The cross with first pin and core made probably before 42 and July 44 document .

I agree with you about it.
I find it hard to believe that it took several years from the manufacturer until the soldier got it.

It's impossible to know if a cross and document in 2016 were actually originally an awarded pair. That said, I would have no problem with a 1942ish manufactured EK with a 1944 award document.

Up to 42 as a time frame only Brian -myself I would for now guess 40/41 . I would have to see a side view of the anchor to see what construction type it is .
Any way of getting a side view of the anchor Henrik ??

Thanks, Douglas. It doesn't change my opinion, though. It's perfectly reasonable to expect old inventory to still be used for later awards.
