    Cased ek combo

I think this is worth to be discussed here. Really expensive:-
    As described:-
An example of the Iron Cross 1st Class 1914 with attached Repetition Clasp 1939 as a combination on screwback. The cross in an excellent, probably unworn condition. The core with all of the black paint. The ribbing in matt white silver and the flanges burnished with some slight patina.
Marked on the reverse with "L/18" for the company of B.H. Mayer, Pforzheim. See Frank Thater, Das Eiserne Kreuz 1. klasse 1939, page 1028/1029. And also Detlev Niemann price catalogue 3rd edition, page 569 top and 571. This actual cross and case shown(!).
The fitting LDO case in a very good, slightly used condition. Printed in gold, inside of the lid, with the 2nd pattern LDO logo and ink stamped bottom right with the fitting mark "L/18". The inlet covered with black velvet.
Rare chance to own an documented original. Only very few of this type of cross are known.

Original and rare. What is the seller asking for this rare piece?

                    set

I seen that one yesterday and almost fell over with the price. I have seen them on other dealers sites for about half that price. Jim

wait wait a minute 150K!? or 15K? I think you misspelled the price with extra 0. It just cannot be 150

I had trouble believing the 150,000. Even 15K is ridiculous though. Even if it was a WW1 cross w/WW2 spange, attributed, it's overpriced IMHO.

Then again, I'm not a high roller.

Very nice rare original. I don't know that I've seen the cases marked L/18 before.
                              Best regards,
