Even at 15K, that's way way to much.

I sold my empty case for $1200 3 years, so really, to me, a complete set is only worth 3.5k or so.Last edited by wayne gosley; 09-12-2015, 08:42 PM.

True a knight's cross is not rare, but for me a more glorious award to own.
I'm sure more people were awarded the ek1 spange than the knight's cross.
Ofcourse, the factory made and cased combo medal is very rare, i agree with that.
But looking at that price, simply not worth it.
Just my 2 cents

Hi Trevor,
Yes, definitely, I agree a cased set is very rare, and it is the old adage,(to a serious ek collector, i think they would pay maybe $5k,) but i could not could justify it for myself, 3.5k would have been my limit.
I thought I was lucky just to find a case, with hope of one day finding an original to go in it. But alas, i got out eks into flight section. So no need the empty case any longer.
Cheers

IMO EK-combo is one of the most beautiful Third Reich awards and one of the rarest too, especially in top condition as this one is. The truth is it may take many years before we see another like this combo for sale (if ever in lifetime) again. 15K is a lot for the "EK" but this one is truly special/ unique. I think there might be some collectors who are rich and crazy enough to fork out that number. Heck they pay much/times more for other awards..Last edited by Disco Partisan; 09-14-2015, 03:37 PM.
