I'm not sure I have a photo of no. 8. Actually I think it should be listed as no 6, and every other one should move down a notch, and be:

crunch bead frame, marked L/12 on frame + magnetic Teardrop "9" core
That example is attached, as well as a closeup of the mark, which you requested:

If someone has a photo of no. 8 I would be very happy to see it.

If not, I think the list should be revised as follows:
          1. WFS frame (Wide Frame Schinkel) + non magnetic WFS core
          2. WFS frame + magnetic WFS core
          3. crunch bead frame + non magnetic WFS core
          4. crunch bead frame + magnetic Teardrop “9” core (so called: Full Juncker)
          5. crunch bead frame + magnetic W&L core
          6. crunch bead frame, marked L/12 on frame + magnetic Teardrop “9” core
          7. crunch bead frame, marked L/12 on frame + magnetic L/12-core
          8. common L/12 frame, marked L/12 on frame + magnetic L/12-core
          9. common L/12 frame, unmarked + magnetic L/12-core
          10. Full W&L cross (frame, core), marked L/12

If no. 8 on the previous list does exist, then the list should be:
          1. WFS frame (Wide Frame Schinkel) + non magnetic WFS core
          2. WFS frame + magnetic WFS core
          3. crunch bead frame + non magnetic WFS core
          4. crunch bead frame + magnetic Teardrop “9” core (so called: Full Juncker)
          5. crunch bead frame + magnetic W&L core
          6. crunch bead frame, marked L/12 on frame + magnetic Teardrop “9” core
          7. crunch bead frame, marked L/12 on frame + magnetic L/12-core
          8. common L/12 frame, marked L/12 on frame + magnetic L/12-core
          9. common L/12 frame, marked L/12 on frame + magnetic Teardrop “9” core
          10. common L/12 frame, unmarked + magnetic L/12-core
          11. Full W&L cross (frame, core), marked L/12
          Best regards,
          Streptile

            Hi Jarek,

I don't know anyone who uses this name. Who invented it? Is it used on a different forum?

You guys are awsome! Thank you a lot, this information and knowledge you have provided me and many others today is highly appreciated. Beautiful crosses indeed. How long time has it taken for you to get all the variations if i may ask?

It is the work and effort of many collectors and several subsequent generations of collectors. I deals with crosses EK good few years ... and certainly not longer than many of our colleagues...

Thank you to both Trevor and Sanya for so kindly responding to my request and posting the photos. Great work by Jarek, too. Many of us who share an interest in the Iron Cross family will benefit significantly from the information shared herein. Again, thanks guys!

In my case, before reading this thread, the knowledge there existed any TR 2nd Class ICs with the marker's mark stamped on the flange had escaped me. Perhaps a simple thing to many, but the idea of such really intrigued me. And when the photos were posted, my interest was piqued all the more. Simply put, these look very, very cool.

I do believe this new found knowledge (well, new to me, anyway...) has defined my next quest! I need an example or two in my collection!

Thanks Jarek -- it was a rhetorical question, but maybe one day I'll need those names

I've just never heard the name used, but also I don't read every thread.

I do not have all the variations and only study the 3 flaw frame types . Section 3, 4 and 5 will change eventually to reflect some corrections .
My bet is on Sanya being the closest on having all the 39 versions .
