They are no good for sure. Is that a chain stitch on one side? The same thing is happening with WW1 EK ribbons for years now.

One of the reasons they get by in many cases is that collectors for some reason care only about the medal and not the ribbon and these sellers know this. I want both original.

I'm also disappointed that the sales thread did not get flagged for discussion. Many people will not see refund now.

This is a perfect case where we as members need to police the e-stand better. That Sales thread started Oct 31 and just now it's being talked about. I recently bought an item off the e-stand that after further research deemed to be fake. I talked to a very knowledgeable collector of this type and he said, "yes I saw him selling that". But no effort was made to flag it.

The rules are clear, if you see an item selling and it's suspicious contact the Mod for the forum and it will be flagged for discussion. Your name will not be attached to it.

Sorry about that but I thought the seller knew they were repros.

        When the add says:

        - UV negative
        - non synthetic thread

I read it as they were sold as good quality repros and not originals, otherwise it would just say "original" plain and simple, thats why i didnĀ“t open a discussion about them.

And thats also why I were just going to pm the seller and say that he posted them in the wrong section. Apperantly I forgot to do it.

          Hi Peter,
Please take care when you speak about me and choose the correct word !
Nobody can say that i sold one time a fake !
I don't know you and you don't know me !
In case i sold ribbon without saying that that each ribbon was UV negative ... You would decide to say that i didn't test that, that was why i am not honest

Please choose a better argument next time and never Speak about me like that !

Peter looks like this guy is a real winner, not! Next time just contact a Mod and keep your name out of it.

Here my two close-up examples. Both are periode originals. Although the colours differ the weave look very much alike. I did not measure the width but can imagine they may differ to.

                Calm down. You missunderstood me.

I am not saying you sold fakes as originals on purpose. I said I thought you knew they were fakes. Obviously you didnt. And besides, your sales pics were good so it was easy to see that they are fakes. So you were clearly not trying to hide the fact what they are bad, you just didnt know.

                Do you feel better now?

P.S. The uv-test is worthless nowadays. Most repro ribbons made since a few years back are uv-negative.

I think, and hope, we just have language barrier problem here. But you are right, it is easier just to report a thread.

No the left top is good. The middle and the WW1 ribbon are not.

I thought so too, some might get confused as there is a WW1 shown.
