Fake ribbons on the estand

IMO these ww2 ribbons are modern reproduction.
I bought a set and and didn't pay too much attention to the pictures.

But now when I have them in hand I have no good feeling.

They don't shine under UV and they pass the burn test but as far as I know fakers have gone better.

So if you all agree that these are bad I would recommend that you ship them back if you have bought.

These are always so difficult. They look okay to me. Might be that they're so minty in hand they seem off.

sorry but I don't agree.

I have 150-200 spare ribbons and they all have the same "wave" edge on both sides.

The ww1 ribbon seen below I bought as a repro on ebay for educational purposes and it match the ww2 ribbon exactly.

The ribbon at the start is clearly post war . Out of own interest I have been looking at ribbon also . They are selling that stuff dirt cheep now .... a complete roll - not a misprint a complete roll - you can get as low as 5 Bucks now
They have gotten good with the burn and UV test only .

Agree this ribbon is postwar (fake):

I come into this discussion because i am the seller ...
I sent more than 160 ribbons (WWI and WWII) to famous collectors and expert ...
And i had only 3 negative feedbacks

These ribbons came from 2 rolls and i cut them (for sale).
I am an honest seller and won't discuss for refunding.
Nevertheless i d like to have more comments.
I suppose that period ribbons are not all identical !
For example you can find different width

Yes Brian ... the 2 enlarged ribbon pieces Schönbeck posted are post war .

A close up comparison showing the ribbon ends to an original . The 'end loop' stitching is different .

EK2 Ribbons

I received one of these ribbons a couple of weeks ago. I notified the seller that the color did not seem right. He stated that the red color was a variant and that the ribbon was good. But yesterday after reading this thread I asked for a refund, but no reply yet. I am too late for a refund?

Just compared on a couple of original and they have straight.

schönbeck, they are 100% modern ribbons. No question about it.

I saw them on the E-stand some time ago and thought the seller hade posted them in the wrong section and they were ment to be posted in the baazar. I thought I sent a pm to you LOTHRINGEN, but maybe I forgot to do that...
