      Thanks Trevor.
I wish it was mine. I brokered this piece about a dozen years ago. I did have the pleasure to have it in my care for a several months until it sold. An exceptional piece of craftsmsnship and the ironic unfulfilled history as they were never awarded.

Are some of these awards in privat hands?

Probably the nicest TR award ever made. I seem to recall that there were just 20 made and all are accounted for, most of which are indeed in private hands.

I believe one of our number has one. Just amazing. This award should not work for so many reasons, yet it's one of the best looking awards they ever made. "Hitler's poached egg", "Party badge for the visually impaired" etc, but it just works. With and without diamonds. "With diamonds" is just plain beautiful.

How would this award have ranked..would 'with Diamonds' have been a higher grade than the Ritterkreuz?

                      Fantastic looking piece indeed

                        Thanks guys.

When I had this award (2002) 17 of the 20 made were known. At that time 15"werecl original and complete. Another one had the diamonds restored as they were pulled out at some point. And one other example was known to have been completely destroyed for the stones and metal value.
Since that time I have heard that one other example surfaced at a motel buy in the Tennesee area if I remember right.
That leaves two of the twenty still out there somewhere if they haven't been destroyed.
                        Hope this helps some.
