    This is another of many items in the collection I have been ask to sell, can anyone tell me if it is genuine?

            Hi,

            could you post the reverse of the cross with the pin open please. It looks like a propaganda cross made by the Sovjets in 1941 and - if real - is fairly rare since only 500 seem to have been produced. Which leads me to believe, as a first thought, that this might not be the real deal. Better pictures of the front beading might also help.

                That was the date that these Russian propaganda pieces were made with nate. Dietrich has a point. Rare if real.

                  do you have an original 1941 Sovjet propaganda cross or picture of an original to compare the date to? If so (and I think you must since you said the date is wrong), please post!

                        The original sovjet propaganda cross has no "dots" above the "U" in the word FÜR, i.e is mis-spelled "FUR".

                          Gordon's "Iron Cross of 1939" has a picture of one of these crosses on page 158. No ".." above the U in FUR.
