I know this is an age-old question which may not have an answer to yet, but I'll put it out once more hoping for more information. The first cross posted is a standard 'L/12'-marked EKI with typical 'L/12' frame and a W&L core. The second 'L/12'-marked cross has the typical 'L/12' frame as well but has a 1st pattern Juncker core.
Now, here's the question...Knowing that W&L had a contract with Juncker did W&L construct these crosses with their cores in their own plant with their own/or borrowed 'L/12' stamp, or did Juncker make these crosses in-house with delivered W&L components (cores, etc...) and stamp them themselves?
I've made a montage of two 'L/12'-stamped SB's with hopes that someone could possibly add their comments regarding whether or not they were made with the same stamp.
First up is a W&L-cored 'L/12'-marked cross. Secondly a full Juncker 'L/12'-marked cross, then the montage...
