    I think what's lost here is that EK1 Horde were found in cases stored in much worse conditions (much worse than most of us store them in our homes) for over 55 years and many were in pristine condition. Some of the batch had damage due to moisture etc. as could be expected from the elements.

      So I can put the ek inside the case with some silcal gel around it.

      It's very interesting that B.H. Mayer had their type of case and then, some type of Ek was frosted. I don't know but it's like that Mayer made premium crosses.
