    Juncker EKII

    Hi All
I was wondering if one of you EK experts can confirm that this EKII is in fact a piece made by Juncker? I am going by the cross-hatching? The ring is missing and the eyelet is not the original a repair job of some sort.

As always your opinions are much appreciated

Yes, you are right, of course. The OP is 100% Juncker, even with the lug removed it's easy to spot by the shape.

              No way it's a 27, it's not even close.

...although that 27 you just showed Kirill is very nice, with the less-common # frame and in great condition.

Looks strange for a Juncker ?? Do not think it had a lug .
One can still see where the jump ring was before which is the reason for the repair . Crude filing to remove the solder on the reverse . Not factory done .
Has the frame been opened . If so the core was not put back in correctly ...and the jump ring had to moved 90 degrees .
If Steve could see if the frame is magnetic ? That red stuff looks like rust , which would make it a Ni-plated steel frame (late war) ??

                  update

Frame is non-magnetic and yes there are signs that the lug was ground off. Tried to take photos but my batteries need recharge will post some later.

Have you ever seen a steel-frame Juncker? I'd love to see one.

Just wondering what that red stuff was .
For EK1s they did remove the lug . Possibly they had to 're-borrow' the frame ?
Removing the lug for or during a repair seams very odd .

No Trevor .... wondering what the red stuff on the beading was . Juncker did try an experimental frame alloy .
S&L and W&L had early Ni plated copper frames and I have a late war Ni plated zink frame EK2 .
