In the last photo I do not think the medals were airbrushed in..the thickness of the beading is probably a reflection from the sunlight...ie bright objects reflect light more dark items.
Thanks for the photo Terry. I think if you can find one in his later Supreme Commanders uniform jacket, you'll see he wears it lower than his comtemporaries. His gold party badge was always tops though.
