Until now, I have not seen this type of case. Guess I need to get out more.

Hello,
In my opinion, the case and this cross did not start life together. the recess in no way compliments the shape of the cross, allowing it to rest flush to semi-flush. One would expect to see a horizontal recess above the cross or a fastening device in the lid to retain the ribbon. Additionally, I would like to see rounded inner "corners" in the bottom inner portion of the base. I hope I'm wrong-but...?

Thank you all for the great comments, I cant wait till this puppy arrives to put into my small & modest collection.

Here is the cased EK2 Walter was refering to, Walter sent me a photo of the EK2 and the point that he was making was that his box had two pieces of paper in the lid to hold the ribbon and that the one I have brought does not?.

What do you all think.

My guess is that this may have been common to this maker.
