Knights Cross - opinion requested please

I have owned this Knights Cross for about 25 years....but I am considering selling it and would like your opinion. The rear is marked L/58 800. No ribbon or hanger. Medals are really not my thing....so I hope the pictures are clear enough. I was going to clean it a bit before photographing...but I know how some folks freak out about that....so the black center has some dust on it. The center is magnetic.

Post War made Souval Knights Cross. Probably made in the 50's or 60's. Tom

A textbook postwar Souval knights cross. Still without the typical frame errrors of the later years. IMO a 1950's made cross. Very nice and collectable.

              Best regards,
              Alex

Very nice early piece. Please do not clean it. I believe it would hurt the value.
Lots of character. I sure wish I owned it.

Well....darn. I guess it has little value then? This came from a WWII vet that stayed in Germany during the post-war occupation years. He must have gotten it then. I always thought this was a wartime example.

I've had a few PM's with WAG's of a price offer....but nothing that was substantial. Any idea of value?

The ring on this piece is finished considerably better than most Souvals. I would think it is VERY early.

Somewhere around $500 as it's an early piece, but without the loop/ ribbon etc. Others could give a better indication.

I paid about 650 EURO for one, but it came with early postwar St&L OLS, ribbon AND provenance to an SS veteran.
This one ... without loop and ribbon .... around 250-300 Euro ???

I don't collect Souval pieces, however I bought one during a visit to the Souval shop in the 1970's. Today's going price is pretty much what the others have said. I paid $25.00 for mine way back when, but guy's do collect them so who knows ????? Tom
