Is this type of cross that can be seen in Hoffman RKT photos that is not from one if the known makers? Has it been proven that the Hoffmann rk is an unknown maker?

        This is a "Hoffmann".

There are very many such photos. Some, I think, could be Zimmermanns. Others could be normal crosses with "unfiled" rings which slipped through quality control. Others, of course, could be these type crosses. If these were produced, they would have been produced "pre-LDO" which, coincidentally, is the same time the Grand Cross, with "frame-intruding" ring, appeared.

Hard to be sure but to me the pics in post #49 are Left-Juncker and right-KQ.

The Panzer man is very hard to see but I can't match it to a known maker.

Rich - The Panzer officer's could be a K&Q as well. The problem we have is that most portraits like this concentrate on the face, not the decoration. You would think the photographers would have planned ahead for discussions like this.
