        Eye candy, thanks for showing

I was indeed also wondering about the awardee's name?
        Kind regards,
        Giel

          Dear all,

thank You for Your kind and very positive comments!

The KC was awarded to a Heer NCO in September 1944, later he became officer. There are some papers with the KC which give proof of origin.

            Nice "little" grouping you show.
Does all the items belong together, or just for display purpose?

I would love to add that RK to my Collection also.

            /Flemming

                    A very nice cross indeed!
But the soldier must have had an extremely thick neck! This is the first time that I see a full lenthg ribbon "confectioned for wear" ... So what happened to his real ribbon?

Unfortunately the recipient died 9 years ago, so there is no chance to ask him...

The ribbon is 'only' a IC 2 - ribbon and, yes, it is very long. I have no clue but maybe the recipient wore the cross with the reverse in front at some OdR-meetings?

There is some paperwork with the cross which gives proof of origin and there is also a photograph of the soldier with the KC in wear which shows the characteristics of a JUNCKER KC. But again: Unfortunately the question where the 'real ribbon' is cannot be answered.

Did some experiments with camera and computer. It was too dark, more to follow if we have daylight again...
