          Just another point of view
          I can only agree!

            There are 2 reasons why I don't believe it's a fake:
The number of these crosses popping up is very small (including this one I have seen 4 in 3 years, and people who know me know I spend a lot of time on the internet)
It doesn't look like anything we know.
Why make a "new" design while you know it will end after you knock off 5 or 6 of these as "originals"...

Must be far easier to copy the one-piece Schickle Schinkel........

                I fully agree, Ross.

No problem, without different opinions we would all have the same items in the collection, and never a nice discussion...

I like your cross Ben, in my opinion your and that other one have many chances to be original.

I think so too Fabri, it is actually pretty nice in hand.

                      But Militaria-Beck...

If you're bored, stroll through the IC's on that site, I nearly whet my pants

Round 3 Schinkels, schinkels marked "100", a one piece fake at the very modest sum of 580 E..
Hilarious, you really can't take them serious.....

                      o, and of course a very nice Floch/Godet clasp at 580 !!

                      Don't miss it!!

Why someone in the time would have made a fake EKII? The almost low cost of them and large war distribution doesn't make them really rare today. whats the deal of making a fake of something with a low value...
i have difficulty to understand this since i'm a member and read on the forum...
I just bought an EKII here on the forum to make sure it was a real one... hope i'm ok?!

Cheap medals are copied so that re-enactors don't smash up the real thing on their uniforms, which is fair enough, and they are made so that people who don't do their homework can be ripped off by scum.

This is a good place to buy items as many people watch the listings regularly and very few fakes ever get through without questions being raised. I bought my EKII through a member from this site. People here gave it the once over and I ended up with a beauty so you've made a wise choice.

The ribbon looks good to me - have you tried a black light test? However, I do not like the cross and feel that it is not authentic. In short - I would not have it in my collection. I may be wrong, but this is just my opinion. -Ger
