Hey guys, I was wondering, if you had to select the top 5 makers of EK1s, which would they be. For me, I would have to say they are (not necessarily in this order):

1. C.F. Zimmermann
2. Rudolf Wachtler & Lange
3. Klein & Quenzer
4. C.E. Juncker
5. Steinhauer & Luck

Hey John,

Again, I think Mads and I have the same tastes, , but I really love em all when they are marked and in good condition. My favorite (that I own) is a Zimmerman. It's minty and has a flawless core. But, you know how it is, the next sweet one to come along could bump her out! There is no fedelity in this hobby!!

For me, the EKs that make my mouth water are:

Fritz Zimmermann #6
C.F. Zimmermann #20 L/52 (especially those double stamped ones)
and of course, the K&Q 65s
