Franz-Joseph von Kageneck DKiG group was sold at Hermann Historica from an internet bidder.

                            Gentlemen,

The pictures of award documents, the German Cross holders, and others are pretty informative. A lots of these award holders are pretty unknown to me. Good work!
A very merry Christmas to all of you!

                            Sincerely,

                              Karl Georg Eschwei

                              Gentlemen,

From what I read, its seems that Obermaschinist Karl Georg Eschwei had seen some ground combat near the end of World War II. He was using a panzerfaust against enemy tanks. I can read a little German. I wonder how many tanks he destroyed and that he ever received any tank destroying badges. I guess we will never know.

                              Sincerely,

                              Edward L. Hsiao

Hi to all! A family member of Leutnant Knirsch just told me that these awards were stolen some time ago from Knirsch's house. If anyone has some information regarding the current owner or something about his DKiG.. please let me know.

                                Regards,
                                Sepp.
