A unique piece has been recently put to auction! Thoughts on this?

Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords awarded to Generalfeldmarschall Robert Ritter von Greim (1892-1945)

                  Well .........

Captured by the yanks and questioned on 8th May killed himself later that same month, would have been liberated of his medals. The cross 's swaz has the same discolouration as per late wartime photo, I say a very good chance .It is a shame I am not rich !!!

                        Hi Denis,

Sorry, I'm late on the scene...I'll bite, what do you find strange? The signature does looked "forced" to me, tighter than the usual Burgdorf.

                        Best,
                        John

If I compare the the f in Burgdorf signature with other Burgdorf signatures it is totally different in Bruhns VB. If you follow the "pencil" from r to f you will see that in Bruhns document the pencil line goes down and in other Burgdorf signatures the pencil line between r and f will go up. The f also have a different ending on Bruhns VB. So a totally different f. I can also not find another VB from December 43 or January 44 with Generalleutnant preprinted. Maybe Denis have other things to add.

                          / Daniel

Sadly this document, among others, were stolen from Remmert estate.
