This is one of the extremely rare early zinc-cored pieces from C.E. Juncker. Unmarked, i.e., Neusilber frame and a zinc-core as I just read in the auction description. The award date of 3. June 1940 is late for this type. The example of the next type I show in my book (iron core/Neusilber frame) was awarded 9. May 1940. Extremely rare piece and I hope the winning bidder knows what he has.

that is really a very nice cross and i personally have quite a passion for these early Juncker crosses. But actually that type is exactly what I would expect for a RK awarded in 1940 (besides the much rarer 3/4 Öse and the iron-cored a. unmarked Juncker) so it is neither rare nor special in my opinion.

I personally hope that the winning-bidder is aware that he is paying ways too much for that grouping

here's another one, unmarked and non magnetic, awarded on july 29th 1940 to Leutnant Walter Krauß, the very first reconnaisance pilot to receive the Ritterkreuz. It's a bit off-topic but let me show you the model (1:72) i made in order to remember this brilliant pilot; it's exactly the plane he used to fly during the western campaign (and the very first model i finished since 15 yrs ).

        enjoy.

Nice model but I am under the impression that a small detail is missing in the tail area

This is not an official document, but an interesting item nonetheless:

A 1973 signed letter showing SS-Untersturmführer Jacques Leroy confirmation of the Knight's Cross by Leon Degrelle. The date given by some sources put Leroy's KC ceremony on April 20th, 1945.
