Yes, the VB doc is unfortunately a fake:

- bad rubber stamp
- bad signature (should be the one of GdI Bodewin Keitel)
- bad type of Diploma (in August 42, this is not this type of Diploma pattern which was used)

i spoke to Klaus from ratisbons about it and this is what he wrote :

We are aware that there are two different types existing. One is part of the grouping as an original, the other one as a copy. I assume a faker would have faked the „proper one" with Keitels signatures. I can't see anything wrong on the doc we have for sale.

For starters, it's the wrong style document - the Oberbefehlshaber des Heeres format was no longer in use by the Heerespersonalamt at this time. Then the stamp is wrong and the signature is wrong.

Here is one I sold a few years ago that shows what a RK VB from Aug '42 should look like.

I see 4 stars in the original stamp for example in the Port document.

On the Bärenfänger document i see 2 stars !
