And his funeral ceremony with his ordenskissen in front.

As said earlier on this thread, Strachwitz was awarded the Diamonds on 15 April 1944. The current whereabouts are unknown.

One of the few photos where we can see Generalleutnant Hyazinth Graf Strachwitz von Gross-Zauche und Camminetz wearing the diamonds.

A fantastic addition to this thread!

The Diamonds formal award document to Major Hermann Graf! First time I see it; this came from an old history/militaria magazine.

(Thanks to my friend Daniel for sending the picture)

An interesting example of the diamonds, but with no clear background of the recipient.

Maybe someone can help with more information.

Also note the 2000 flight clasp with diamonds!

Interesting piece... no idea of the background; set added to a 57er KC.

Hi Ralf, I posted this photo (in better quality) two years ago in my KC today thread: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...postcount=2060

The caption said "Photo taken in 1942 by Heinrich Hoffmann showing the Diamonds and Swords award documents belonging to Generalleutnant Adolf Galland"

                          Thanks anyway

In 1957, Hans-Ulrich Rudel together with the widow of Walter Nowotny and his son, were present at the Zentralfriedhof in Vienna for a ceremony in front of the grave of the former Luftwaffe Ace.

This is an incredible zoom on Rudel's the Knight's Cross with Golden Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds; he wore it during the event.
