    The wear on cross and clasp are a tad bit different...

      That stuff is always interesting to see, but I wouldn't want that one in my collection, personally.

      The cross is a good and typical AWS with their 925 silver stamp, certainly private purchase and probably from the 20s. The eagle over the seam? It doesn't look right to me. And the pin on the back is not from the cross, originally. It's from some other cross, and has been added (sideways) to the combo. Who knows? Might be period. But I wouldn't pay much more than the total value of the parts for this particular piece. Work looks sort of sloppy and there are parts from at least 4 different pieces on there. All I know is that there is no way that is a factory Juncker-assembled combo (to Craig's credit, he does not claim it is).

      Also, what's with the random pic of a (Deumer?) screwback combo at the end?

        By the way, I just noticed the price on this Combo. It is not any more than the price of the two components together. Well done Craig . (In fact the price is a few hundred bucks less than you would pay for the two pieces separately)

                  Plenty of great and authentic pieces on that site but someone who knows Craig should probably point out to him that his item #4488 (currently 'on hold') needs some 'attention'.

                    strange price for the juncker don't you think? if that monstrous masterpiece really was wartime, I'd expect that to bring over 5K, even without provenance

                    I've never seen one like that. Actually I've never seen a deumer SB combo at all
                    from the front they look seperate, but the reverse shows a full joined rear plate
                    I'm not sure about the cross being a deumer either, strange one again. I'd love to have it in hand, case too. A first for me
                    as with all combos: a total minefield

                      The clasp ain't Deumeer either.
                      I posted one of these a while ago for comments :

                      They put some effort in it though, they cut a new back-plate and put the combo together.

                              Yeah, I agree. However, the description gives no indication anyone knows it's a Juncker.

                              I know I would pay $5K+ for a bonfide wartime Juncker Combo -- but such a treasure would have to be be different in a few key areas from this one

                              That said, this is a Combo of two authentic, valuable and beautiful (in my opinion, the most beautiful) pieces. If you believe these two pieces were joined wartime, it is a steal.
