I've read the entire blog on this kid & his antics. Maybe it's his make-up! He could even be a 'military brat' with "character" problems....It's something we won't know.
You would figure that if his dad was in the Service at one time that this kid would know what "honor" & "integrity" were, so it's possible that there never was any sort of leadership in the home.
This kid did make me stop & think about my brother. My dad was in the Service in World War II as a Combat Engineer. I served in the Canadian Reserves for 6 years & then joined the American Army in 1968. My older brother, I can't recall a single thing he ever did that was honorable & he's now 70 years old.
By the way, you look damn smart in uniform!
