Some are that way no matter what!

    Brian:

I've read the entire blog on this kid & his antics. Maybe it's his make-up! He could even be a 'military brat' with "character" problems....It's something we won't know.

You would figure that if his dad was in the Service at one time that this kid would know what "honor" & "integrity" were, so it's possible that there never was any sort of leadership in the home.

This kid did make me stop & think about my brother. My dad was in the Service in World War II as a Combat Engineer. I served in the Canadian Reserves for 6 years & then joined the American Army in 1968. My older brother, I can't recall a single thing he ever did that was honorable & he's now 70 years old.

By the way, you look damn smart in uniform!

While I've had a good laugh with the generals antics, it's brought home a real revelation for me personally. I had no idea that the forum allowed such young members. I for one would like to know just how young the mods allow.
I had a scan around and wasn't surprised by the amount of 'intersted in this item' posts from younger members. Hell, I was interested in a Ferrari when I was thirteen, but I didn't have access to people selling them.
No offence but when people are too young to even have PayPal accounts let alone jobs giving them the ability to offer to buy items running into thousands seems rather off to me.
I would never discourage young collectors but IMHO these children (!) should be given limited access to a forum like this until they are old enough not to have to borrow their parents bank card to join.

        Very good point!
In the UK, the Sale of knives and other weapons etc are restricted to age 18 years or over. What restrictions are there on WAF sales to minors?

Well, kids shouldnt be restricted, just smart. I don't buy unless i have the money in hand, or ask kindly t put it on hold, not go lie saying Ive sent the money, etc.

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I've joined this forum when I was 16 years old and no one is gonna tell me what I can and can not do on the internet purely based on my age. And besides, you aren't even obligated to show your age on this forum, so it's not even an issue.

In this hobby you should be treated based on your experience and manners, and I've seen some examples of adults/elder men who lack both.
