here the Iron Cross first class from my uncle. He awarted this cross in France 1940.

I dont se a needle like this one. Was this original?

These awards with Prasidialkanzlei number where first made in 1941. So atleast it was not awarded in 1940.

Very nice cross. Elena might have meant that he "earned" the cross in 1940, this could be a replacement piece or a spare which wasn't uncommon ?
