For my own education (and perhaps that of others), can I solicit views please on the Oakleaves maple currently for sale at Weitze (any issues and price etc.)? Eagle looks a bit worse for wear than the Burmeister maple, but any red flags?
Many thanks in advance, and kind regards,
      Sandro

I can not comment on the price . But Oakleave document is getting less and less in market.
The document is genuine. The cover looks like under a cleaning. The eagle now looks more tarnished than before unless you keep it in a air tight environment.

Many thanks Chen. So you expect the esgle to deteriorate further?
          Kind regards,

            Yes.
            But it can be restored.
Actually this environment process did similar oxidation to my document eagles too so I slow down the process by putting them in air tight plastic bags.

The same Gollob's diamond document's eagle.
The better looking one appeared in the book "Iron times". After several years, the document was auctioned. Note the eagle becomes slightly tarnished.

Thanks Chen. Didn't Andreas Thies in a (fairly) recent article in IMC say that the Goldb diamonds cassette had been completely restored? In other words - is that eagle original, or has it been replaced as part of the restoration, do you know?
                  Kind regards,
                  Sandro

I believe the eagle is original as well as the diamonds although I also see a diamond eagle in another thread( see photo)
Note those metal eagle similar to this eagle( see photo also taken from other thread) is made with metal components which is subject to moisture damage. So sooner or later if not stored properly, the eagle gold paint may become tarnished.

I just saw the Urkunde in Hamburg last week again. See nothing wrong with it.

As Chen correctly said, OL documents are increasingly getting rare. We can argue back-and-forth now about the price, but it's more or less ballpark I'd say.

I'll temporarily set up my own nice OL doc+award display next week. After that the doc will be stored in an airtight container again.

                          Cheers from Acapulco bay!

                          Markus.

I agree with Markus' saying about the asking price of this Oakleave document.

The same Oakleave document cover before the eagle gets more tarnished.
