Sadly to say, No, they dont do this.

Our well known friend rattenberger ripped me 500 Euros 10 Month ago under a pseudonym.

He uses a brandnew username and try to sell a Luftwaffenpokal under this account.

I have won this auction, payed the 500 and get nothing back.

I know, I know how can someone believe to get an Luftwaffenpokal for 500???

He offered me this pokal as a sofortkauf/buy at once, and as Daniel, I´ve thought nothing can go wrong with this deal.

I have started a police investigation and they told me that Mr. Rattenberger was the name of this guy.

After only 2 month they have closed the case, that´s it.

My first thougths are also that Militaria321 gots the ID of this man, but they got nothing from him. Noi ID, no driverslicense, NOTHING.

Every thief could start auctions and rip the users there.

Simple storie, very effective for thiefs like Rattenberger or this guy here.

I have learned my leasson on the hard way.

I guess we all need to use some kind of Payment form like Pay Pal where you can get your money back if you are not satisfied....forget about bank transfers and so....

Agreed, I'd rather pay the extra 4% just to cover the small % of sods who try to rip people off. This is a dreadful story.
