the price paid was around US$4,500. Whilst this may seem expensive, it was the best of several pieces I looked at seriously. Having the original case and the fact that the award weighed in on the heavier end close to 43g (more than likely mid-war manufacture) were what prompted me to pay that 'bit extra'. I have seen several pieces (marked and unmarked) priced e2,750 - 3,500.

It's my understanding that the marks could be positioned either "900 - 1" or "1 - 900."
