You may want to edit the file size, I am on Cable and it took a long time to load.

surely with all those diamonds, they wouldn't then cut corners and give it a gold wash!

Jon, I assume therefore you believe it to be a fake?

Thanks for mentioning the gold wash, that is just the camera, it doesn't exisit on the piece itself.

I had a feeling the gold color was just a slight age discoloration. So I'm assuming this piece is silver. Now, the inevitable question: Do you have a photo of the reverse?

Tim, h'with a picture of the reverse, had to resize because of the initial problems.

The reality of the piece seems to depend on where it came from. Where did this come from? NFMC

Hey guys I am here to learn just as much as the next guy so here is my question. I have a bunch of stuff silver around the house, some from the WWII era some older and none of it has gone gold in color. So is what happened here the product of age tarnish and the flash on the camera giving off a gold appearance? Any way to get some shots of the leaves without the flash on in daylight?

And Like I said I have no opinion on this item just curious about the color.

...It is almost impposible to say anything about authenticity without knowing answer on this question....especially if this item is in United Kingdom

                        Diamonds

I am afraid they are not even close to a proper set of Silver Diamonds . . .

                          Hi 24141,
I am in no position at all to cast judgement on a piece of this extreme level, and I would say only a handful wordwide have handled originals. Fortunately some members of this forum have, and will no doubt chip in.
For what I've seen of pics of originals, I'd say yours has been well made in accordance to original construction. But of low quality all round.
I'd be highly dubious of an award of this rarity appearing out of the blue like this, as I'd assume all known examples are accounted for.
Although, with a secretive name like yours, you could be Speilberg, Schwartzernegger or Tom Hanks...
                          where's it from?
                          regards
                          Jon

Jon, you confuse me. You say you are in no position to cast judgement and then immediately do so, not once but on several ocassions. I'm also very interested to know why the piece being in England makes any difference to its authenticity, am I to assume from that comment there are no "experts" in England on OS&D's

                            Totally fascinated 24141

Beautiful piece Rich. I would love to see a post from you in the collectors forum, I'm sure it would be awe inspiring.

                              Keep up the good work.
