    It is common for the earlier ones.

    I believe the plinth for the swastika seen on later Brehmers is actually the result of a breakdown of the core die rather than a stylistic choice, although I'm not sure.

      But this is a maker marked later version what Ron posted.

        Yes, the "flat" cores exist as both unmarked, and early marked, EKs.
