another thing i noticed is that my unmarked 60, rounded corner ,EK2.. also has a wide frame like my mm 24 EK2 ,so would this be considered a double variant??

I don't know who the maker is on yours Dietrich, but the cross at the start of this thread certainly isn't a rounder. Just a normal cross with the inner corners filed.

I think your EK2 it´s an L/58 last week I get the same on Ebay with a nice marked case (tomorrow I will send it to D. Niemann, if its ok)
