Normally I lurk, but I have to comment on this. Taking advantage of the very folks who are trying to help you by "flipping" an item for immediate profit after asking forum members how much you can charge them for it. This is simply rude. I feel that most here are in this hobby out of respect and appreciation of history, not to profit from one another. Sad. -Ger

I don't think you really offended anyone too much. People buy and sell here all the time. Done behind closed doors it's quite acceptable, so it seems. But in the open, oh no, that's considered poor form. This is illustrative of quite a strange collecting community. I am sure someone here has already nipped over to baystate and bought the thing and we'll probably see it on estand or some other 'reputable' dealers website in a day or two.

I know this to be true as I have sold things to forum members for a fair price and have seen them up for sale for at least 25% above what they paid.I have no problem with that as some of the items I sold I payed $5 or $10 for along time ago and I sell for about 25% less than market so they sell fast.Once you buy the item it is yours and I don't care what you do with it.
