    Juncker EK2

There is something interesting to me about this Juncker. Can anyone identify who made the core? The photo's pretty big...

          Trevor,

It looks like one of Juncker's two 'teardrop 9' cores. One date is lower than the other, and the '3' drops slightly (like yours).

            Robert,

I agree with you. Can you please show obverse and reverse of any crosses you have on file or in your collection with this core?

            I thank you in advance,

            Trevor

Yes, Trevor. Give me a few minutes for some shots under the 'lights'.

I got about the same one . Same core and frame .. different jump ring . From looks of it made after mine . I dig it out . What is your frame made from !

I used the 'hot lights' to make the dates really stand out...

I guess you noticed the mix core reverse . The 3 is the give away - one point and one blunt .

Robert, you couldn't have chosen two more perfect examples to post! They show the two reverses I was hoping to see. Great photos as always... thank you.

That was exactly what I was working towards pointing (no pun) out.

The "angled cut" reverse 3 is always a W&L trait, isn't it?

Here's the reverse of mine, which surprised me (but I guess ought not to have).

                            Trevor,

Looking over my Juncker crosses every reverse core is the same, whether it has a W&L obverse, an S&L obverse or a Juncker obverse. It even appears that my JWFS has the same reverse core. All crosses listed above have the 3-flaw frames.

                              Hi Robert,

I just noticed that the "angled cut" reverse is Douglas's cross.

So even your "crunch-bead" frame Junckers with W&L cores have "pointy" backed 3's on the reverse?

I gotta run out, back in an hour or so.
                              Best regards,
