    Thanks guys for the help....

I just found this... while looking up the CCC.

It's ALMOST like looking into a mirror!

                Thanks guys for the comments.

I can't post the backs of most of these... since they are tied down... and I don't want to damage the original thread.

It appears collectors feel medals in this format are "salesman samples?"

I feel the printed paper/description is from the period.. and likely sold to GI's from unissued/mint stock from the manufacturer.

                PS

Is the CCC gold or bronze? It looks rather gold to me?

                  Helmetbuyers....

They are called "Salesman Sample Boards" but were assembled after the war to sell to GIs (or).....however they are 100% vintage awards....

I've owned at least 5 of these....sometimes the medals will vary.....personally since few collectors can afford to buy these as a lot....I've broken them up and sold them indivigually. I know that's sacreligious to some.....but since these are postwar assembled (the board I mean)....and most of the awards are relatively common...what's the differance.

All of these I've owned came out of the Daumer Factory.

                  Nowadays..$1,000.00 is a steal!

Strange there is no 39WB, iAB, pab,...
The selection is way to limited to be that of a salesman imo. Must be some kind of post mai '45 souvenir board.

Would be interesting to see the back of the 1918 wb. (and the others)
Dont think it is known what 1918 wb is attributed to Deumer. This one could be it.

If the medals are all good you got a sweet deal. The CCCs bring good money.

Yes, I agree -- any way to shoot sideways into the board and show us the hinge and catch?

In any case, it's a nice board. I agree that it was likely assembled after the war for barter with original decorations.
                                Best regards,
