We are used to seeing magnificent frosted examples of these crosses by top makers but there were also late war unmarked silver plated types as well.
Here is one of those types.Its heavy and seems to be made of nickle.All of the plating has gone from the front but a lot remains on the back.This can be seen as blue/grey areas.There is also an undercoat showing through in places.
Whether this is a wartime piece or a very old repro from the late 40,s or 50,s I dont know.Maybe someone here has an original to compare it with.
