Jim, isn't that your exact same cross in the 2nd photo there? Some things look a bit different, but some of the wear looks identical.

streptile looks like 100% the same cross

nice poster, but I have one question, how has the rights an the pictures/ iron crosses? If you not own the cross any longer, can you publish it without asking the new owner? For sure the pictures are older and you maked it by youreself as you owned it but if you make a book with his pictures and a new owner of a cross see one he owns and writes you, that he not wants to see his Iron cross without a line: in collection from..... and so on

          @ Dirks Girl

The right to one's own image is copyright and should not mixed with personality rights

But, I have asked the EK1 and they see no conflicts of personality rights and they gave me the permission to make photos of them

I call it Otto and Otto told me:" please make very nice photos of me and my house and show it to your EK1-Friends"

                Hi Michael,

the recess is not full round

Maybe the case could be a jeweler's shop production, who knows?
I did not ever see an official star-disc case! But the cross looks textbook Otto Schickle

I researched for it but never found any official star-disc case (especially for my deumers).

Private ordered case ? Made for an other round medal ? self Made from a WW1 case ? Postwar made ?

very nice EK. I am very impressed by your great pictures. Do you use a camera or a scanner (or both)?

                    Greetings,

What a fine collection, probably not many like it anywhere.

My one suggestion would be to include a 3rd pic for each one, the reverse with the screw off, and perhaps showing the inside of the screw.
