I have to disagree with the Quatrefoil in #6 having anything to do with Ireland.

Like many you are getting the Quatrefoil (four leaf clover) confused with the shamrock.

In this case I think it may have more to some form of swastika or sun-cross.

On the very far side on things the Quaterfoil design was also used on the top of Navy headdress to sort of identify Friend form foe but that is more a US Marine sort of thing

as well the Quaterfoil design is the traditional form of archery target in some areas.

I will give you a head start

            Schützenverein is a gun club

            so

            schützen

            verein

            zeven

            is

            Zeven Gunclub

which I think still exists as

            SCHÃœTZENVEREIN ZEVEN VON 1848 E.V.

            Mückenburg 30A
            27404 Zeven

                  Hi aran,

these are (shooting) medals for different events.

The chain is usual for the time. One can find such chains and such medals even today!

                  Please see here for example:
                  http://www.steinlueck.de/schuetzen/u...unterrubrik=53

                  http://www.steinlueck.de/schuetzen/u...unterrubrik=87

                  four leaf clover medal:
                  Dem besten Schützen
                  Wehrmanns-Scheibe
                  1933
                  Sch.-V.
                  Zeven

To the best shooter in the shooting club Zeven in 1933, shot on a special target sheet.

But I must say, some very interesting medals!

                  Uwe

                      Hey Aran,

7 in German in Sieben, not zeven.

"Zeven" is "seven" spoken by someone with a German accent .
                      Best regards,

If they are around 25mm each they may be a womans bracelet, but its difficult to tell the size.
I have a shooting necklace from a german screw manufacturing factory shooting team that was found in a safe by a GI i knew when over there in ww2.
But they are all named , and silver marked, so common sense tells me id say the things gotta be worth a few hundred anyway.
There are people who specificly just collect shutzen medals. I used to have a guys name that looked just for things relating to just shutzen , but if they are larger than 25mm each probably double what i said. They are all very nice. You must keep in mind The US dollar is weak, and so less than that is basicly giving the thing away. We have to fly by the seat of our pants on some of this stuff. Good luck, but i find nothing detrimental about this set, they are very nice anyway.
