Knight Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords Steinhauer & Lück

    Hi Everyone,

Can I ask your thoughts on this Knight Cross please?
I like it very much, and want to know if it`s original.
Is USD 16.000 to much to pay for it ?

    From the seller:
Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross 1939 With Oak Leaves and Swords; magnetic core, silver frame marked “800”, the oak levees and swords silvered only; perfect example by the maker “Steinhauer & Lück", on short original ribbon, unworn, virtually mint condition.

    Thanks for looking.

    Regards from Norway,
    Jørn.

I can not say whether it is original or not as I do not deal with these, but it looks like maybe the swords were added as indicated by the solder globs.
Maybe an expert can chime in here.

Those oakleaves and swords look really bad IMO

I wrote this as he was writing. Did not know he chimed in.
                          Meant no disrespect to Dietrich.
