The frame looks very like the one on this fake (also has a non-magnetic core)

Seems to be the same cross to me. $hi†, looks like I bought a fake...

        I think so Anthony.

As Robert already mentioned the frame is different as well.
All round 3 crosses have the same frame (except for the Deschler )

It's about 3 years ago that I saw the first one, you don't see them to often...

          Hi Ben,

I think that is true of EK1s but not EK2s.
There are four R-3 EK2 frames, but only two R-3 EK1 frames, as you say.
          Best regards,

I believe the Schinkel-B makes (5) EKII frames.

Edit: I take that back. I've looked at my crosses and found that the 'heavy' and the 'swasi on plateau' share the same frame, making (4) EKII frames as you said, Trevor.

Wow, is that so? I've never owned a "swastika on plinth (plateau)" example, and I did not know that. I wonder if that's true with the "swastika on plinth" examples that have the stippled core also (yours seems to be an uncommon "swastika on plinth without stippled core" example, Robert).

Here is George's with stippled core:

Does this appear to be the "heavy," or "thick" frame?
                Best regards,

Mine has the stippled core as well, Trevor. I feel really dumb here. I'm finding slight differences in the two frames now, so I'll say there are (5) R3 EKII frames. I studied the frames right after I woke up this morning; I'm also sick today. Forgive me. Here is my 'large' strippled core R3...

Here is the 'heavy' next to the 'swasi on plateau' for comparison. There are similarities, but there are differences also...

                      Hi Robert,

Is the "swasi on plinth" heavy (thick)? That should answer the question, as the thick one really is, well... thick.
                      Best regards,

I'll get some weights and measurements...

                        Edit:

                        1. Swasi on plateau:

                        weight: 18.2 grams
                        thickness: 4.3mm

                        2. Heavy:

                        weight: 23.0 grams
                        thickness: 5.05mm

Thanks, Robert. So I'd say your original assessment was correct:

                          5 R-3 EK2 frames
                          2 R-3 EK1 frames

The thread-starter, unfortunately, has none of these.
                          Best regards,
