Go to the fake's and reproduction section in the Association Members only section and there is reproduction 20 which looks similar if not the same as this badge ?

Could this badge be one of them I wonder ! It's strange but it looks very similar to my excelent fake 134, esp the rivets of all things, they look like my fakes rather than the example in Gordons book.

      Kind regards,

      Marcus

PS Sorry in my ignorance I can't do links, because I don't know how too.

That maybe very difficult for Gary as he is not a Association Member.

It is very hard to say anything about the authentication from these pics. I agree with Dez that you need a lot of closeups and the dimensions of the DKiG.

This DKiG looks very minty to me.

The fakes are getting very good and I would never buy a DKiG from these pics especially as there is no money back guarantuee.

A respectable dealer would always offer a money back guarantuee.

Even a normal person who got it from a relitive would offer an inspection, They would know it was real, a person giving no inspection or return might as well put a big stamp on it , This is how I feel about the situation,

Detailed pics of the cross would always help...but I see nothing wrong with that one at all. If the piece is right, I wouldn't necessarily shy away from an "all sales final" situation, especially from a private seller. He might just be doing that to protect himself from having to cough up several thousand dollars because of buyer's remorse...who knows. In the antique store world, "all sales final" is pretty standard. I would judge the piece itself. I would try to make this deal in person though if possible (not sure what your exact situation is on this)

Thank you for the input and advice, I paid the association dues and awaiting the process to complete. Will definitely check out the thread on the fake 20. Thanks, G May

                What does it weigh?

It looks like the lighter version.

I am far too cynical these days and would definitely like to see better pics, preferably some close ups and taken in natural light as opposed to with a bright flash. Anything that minty merits the full 'Mr Cynical' inspection.

To me the needle is reshaped ? I base that on the blue heating on it, and the verry sharp point.
