We've seen this happen with the so-called "early Godet" EK1s -- as soon as they were identified on this forum as rare, folks started finding them all over the place. It just takes a little persistence in looking through unmarked crosses on dealer sites that many of us would ordinarily have overlooked.
Couldn't agree more! And to cross reference with Imperial crosses too sometimes, especially on early ones. Would be nice to see more of the knowledgable WWII collectors over in the Imperial section

          Detlev's reply

Makes sense to me. I don't think this is a common maker, even if you are talking about unmarked crosses.

Detlev is guessing, why even write that on a certificate?

hi guys, I sent him my unmarked cross and that`s all... But I do have a problem
with the words "Which was most most likely... And thats why I wanted more
opinions from you guys... And I also sent him a mail about that line and he
                responded back to me:

                Good morning Mr. Karlsson,

you have asked me for my opinion and you got my opinion.

                regards
                dn

So for know I can not do anymore about this question of the maker....
Make your own opinions of this cross and maker...
                Best Regards:
                Chris....

                      Hi Chris
just to say that dimensions of EKII m.m. 24 are 45x45 and your EKI is 44,5x44,8 it don't matches.
It 's not a positive point for the theory but it 's possible that the manufacturer has not used the same frame of course.
                      what do you think ?

Did you specifically ask for an opinion about the maker?

Hi Trevor, as I said earlier in this thread, I sent him my unmarked cross and asked for his opinion abuot the cross... This is my firsy time ever I sent anyone a cross for a
opinion, and I dont know how this evaluation is a statement or not for the question
of this maker, and how much "CRED", Detlev have in his so called opinion....
The interpretation lie in the eyes of the beholder.... Thats why again every
opinion from you guys are welcome....
                          Best Regards: Chris....

just to advise that I have received my unmarked today.
absolutely the same cross you have.
I have just seen some impressive things, for example profile and front side of frame.
                            pics available on Monday.
