EK2 Display - Thanks for the Help!

    Hello All,

I know this should probably go in the "Collections Display Forum" section, but I wanted to give everyone who recently helped me identify some unmarked EK2s, the opportunity to see the result of their contributions.

I put together this subset of my collection for display on my "East vs. West" wall. The shadow box overall measures 19.5" x 23.5" and I put a green backing in the box to nicely offset the reds and whites (though you can't really see the green in the pictures - don't know what my problem was with this set of pictures). I like using placards on certain displays to give the collection a "museum" like feel, but, wow, it is a time-consuming exercise.

    Thanks everyone for the help!

    Regards,

    Eric

P.S. There still is one example in the case that I would like to feel more positive about at http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...77#post3507177 - all opinions appreciated!

What a Pro looking Job You have done Eric! Museum Quality display for sure!
I think You will need to Buy More EK's...Etc to leave on a shelf display so You can hold and inspect the reverse sides! LOL! Well done!
What else is on the East vs West Wall? Have You posted more in the collection forum? Off to have a look!

Thanks all for the kind words. I enjoy applying some creativity to the displays - it seems to be the only "artsiness" I have in me. I don't have anything up in the collections forum and will have to work on changing that.

Collecting Soviet WWII is not my bailiwick, but I took what I had and matched it 1:1 with corresponding German stuff - mostly weapons and personal gear - classic Mosin-Nagant M91/30 (sniper) vs. Mauser K98 (wish it was a sniper), etc. and mounted it to a wall with this display smack in the middle.

I know some folks get irritated with the number of "help me identify the maker" posts, but, I do want to thank those with the knowledge helping those of us without. I've been collecting for some time, and look to the Forum first when I need help, and glad it is there.
